Its official. Residents of North Somerset are a soft touch. The Council can put up tax as much as they like and we'll pay it.
With inflation running at 2.5 per cent North Somerset Council's proposed tax increase of between 16 per cent to 19 per cent is derisory.
Not Enough
Local people think it's not enough even though it would add up to 30 per when combined with last year's 12 per cent rise.

Major Charles Hayford, a former British Army officer and a regular at the Nut Tree said, "I think I can speak for us all here, the Council's doing a grand job".
Wouldn't want it any other way. The beach needs cleaning what with the needles and that and then there's Grove park and the public convenience at Worle, it all adds up you know.
